Trey McCurley was born in Hobbs, New Mexico and grew up in Marlow, Oklahoma. He is the oldest of three siblings, and remains very close to his younger brothers, Cole and Cruise. He began acting onstage and in competitive speech and drama at age 14. He was heavily trained in, and influenced by, classical theater. He began college at the University of Central Oklahoma where he studied Political Science on a full academic scholarship and then completed his BA in Theater Arts at New Mexico State University. He auditioned for UCLA's School of Theater, Film, and Television where he was accepted and graduated with his MFA in Acting. He is an avid oil painter in his free time. Trey spends his time between Los Angeles, Joshua Tree, Oklahoma, and his home in the Sacramento Mountains in New Mexico.

Trey's songs have aired on NBC, Showtime, World of Playboy TV, MTV, Comcast TV, NPR, and Red Bull Films.
